ST. GEORGE'S AMBITION FOR MFL LEARNERS
There have never been more opportunities for young people to explore the world and expand their horizons and at St George’s we strongly believe that learning a second language strongly supports anyone wishing to take up any of these opportunities.
Through a confident and enthusiastic approach here at St George’s, we inspire children to appreciate, value, explore and enjoy languages. We provide a range of learning experiences for children that enthuse, motivate and excite. This enables children to develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to express, explore and improve their communication skills.
We believe that our ethos, culture and curriculum will encourage all children to be confident, ambitious and independent learners. They will have the self-belief to tackle new learning through a range of activities, whilst developing a growing understanding and knowledge of the phonology, grammatical structure and vocabulary of French.
Children’s achievement will be demonstrated through their positive attitude to learning; in the progress they make; and the way in which they develop their ability to apply their growing bank of knowledge. This will be evidenced through a wide variety of oral, reading and written exercises.
