ST GEORGE’S AMBITION FOR ART LEARNERS
At St George’s School, we will deliver the National Curriculum for Art; providing a high-quality Art education which ensures progressive development of artistic concepts, knowledge and skills. Our bespoke curriculum will provide all of our children with opportunities to develop their artistic techniques, give them freedom to be creative whilst understanding and being involved in how art contributes to our history and culture on Portland
We will INSPIRE our children to BELIEVE “A true artist is not one who is inspired but one who inspires others.” (Salvador Dali) as well as understanding that, ‘’Every artist was first an amateur’’ (Ralph Emerson) Enabling them to ACHIEVE their own goals and expanding their self-belief as to progress to secondary education.
